Materials
From sourcing to utilizing our raw materials, Ecopax is committed to reducing our environmental footprint as much as possible.
At Ecopax, 100% of our paper sourcing is certified from Sustainable Forestry Initiative, and in 2025, Ecopax will pioneer the highly repulpable BioPBS paperboard material into the paper cups lineup. This industry leading material allows 90% of the high-quality fiber to be reclaimed and reused.
When working with polypropylene materials, we follow strict processes to ensure that any defects and leftover polypropylene sheets are recycled and repurposed whenever possible. This minimizes our environmental footprint caused by polypropylene materials.
Process
Manufacturing processes, particularly in sectors like food container production, can often be highly electricity-intensive due to the nature of the continuous operation of machinery and equipment. This emphasizes the need for energy efficiency and sustainable practices in the industry.
Ecopax is committed to use Carbon-Free Electricity, that is, electricity generated from sources that produce zero carbon emissions. By using carbon-free electricity, Ecopax significantly reduces the amount of greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere.
Products
Sustainability is central to our product research and development, where we design products to reduce environmental impact without compromising quality. We also enhance the sustainability of existing product lines as technology advances. With up to 40% Earth minerals in Mineral-Filled Polypropylene (MFPP), an extensive selection of paper cups, and our new BioPBS material arriving in 2025, Ecopax’s product lineup is now more sustainable than ever.
